I’m 33, married, and have three Devon Rex cats.
I started running when I was 15 with my dad. My dad is awesome by the way. I ran cross-country and track in high school. Once I got to college I started running half marathons.
I studied Latin at LSU, an incredibly useful degree, and I love Latin a lot. After college I joined Teach for America and taught for 5 years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Hurricane Katrina hit one month after I started teaching.
I married the only guy who could tie with my dad for “greatest guy ever” and after a few years of being married we moved to New Orleans so that I could teach with a fast growing network of charter schools.
So, I’m currently 11 years into teaching, 7 years into marriage, 6 years into cat parenting and 5 years into being a New Orleans resident. I have dabbled in long distance running, obstacle course racing, boot camp, yoga, triathlon and I’m looking for a new adventure.
